Most questions sit somewhere between finance, processes and systems. Sometimes the cause is in the month-end close, sometimes in a handover between teams, and sometimes in work that remained manual while the systems can already do more.

What it is
Business control, financial control, credit & working capital, close & consolidation, rebuilt for the organization as it is now, not as it was five years ago.
What I look for
Whether the close, numbers and working method provide enough grip. This often means less manual work and clearer responsibilities, but the right form differs by organization.

For processes that grew around historical constraints, and systems that no longer fit together.
What it is
Process analysis, redesign, fit-to-standard, workflow setup and systems integration. I start with what people do now and where information or responsibility gets stuck.
What I look for
Whether the process is understandable for the people using it, and whether systems exchange information without extra exports, controls or workarounds.

Automation & Intelligence
For recurring work where it is worth investigating what can be done differently, more simply or automatically.
What it is
Automation, reporting, data and documentation that I design and build myself. See concrete examples of my work.
What I look for
Whether an automation removes a concrete step and remains manageable. Sometimes a better working method or a clearer agreement is more useful than automation.
